As Salaamu Alaikum respected pilgrims,
The South African Hajj and Umrah Council (SAHUC) is pleased to inform the accredited Hajj Pilgrims for Hajj 1446AH/2025 of refunds that are due to you.
On the 11th of November 2024, SAHUC provided estimated charges for the five (5) days of Hajj, Tannazul and Ministry of Hajj and Umrah associated cost.
Alhamdullilah, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released the final amounts which are less than the estimate provided in November 2024.
The final charges for the five (5) days of Hajj, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah associated fees and Tannazul charges for pilgrims that will be departing from Jeddah International Airport after Hajj is SAR4,773.30. For those pilgrims departing from Taif after Hajj, the total value is SAR4,760.75.
- TWF & Khidmatul Awaam pilgrim services allowed for total charges of SAR4,911,20 on their Hajj packages.
- Yusra Tours allowed SAR5,000.00 on their Hajj packages.
1. For pilgrims with TWF & Khidmatul Awaam pilgrim services, the total refund due to each pilgrim is SAR137.90 X (ROE 4.9075) = R676.74. For those pilgrims that will be departing via Taif after hajj, the amount is R615.16 per pilgrim.
2. For pilgrims with Yusra Tours, the total refund due to each pilgrim is SAR226.70 X (ROE 4.9075) = R1,112.53
All pilgrims will be contacted by your Hajj operator for a refund as the Hajj operator has a record of your contractual package rates and pricing. Pilgrims would receive a cash refund only. Refunds cannot be exchanged for “added services” or returned in kind.
Hajj operators have until the end of August 2025 to refund all pilgrims in full.
SAHUC would like to take this opportunity to thank the service provider, Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for making this refund possible, Alhamdullilah.
We also thank the Hajj operators for their co-operation and commitment to ensure that all the pilgrims will be refunded accordingly, In Shaa Allah.
